The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a Loader Operator

A Loader Operator, operates and monitors a loader to scoop, lift, move and load large quantities of material for mining or construction operations. The loading machine types are generally wheel or track-mounted; and
have hydraulically operated bucket systems. The qualified learner will know the functioning and operating of the loader, including health, safety and environmental requirements and to be able to operate the machine
productively and safely.

A qualified learner will be able to:

• Operate a loading machine for mining and construction operations.
