The purpose of this skills programme is to prepare a learner to operate as a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F2 Driver.

The learner will understand the high-risk environment in which they will be operating. They will have and understanding of the physics of momentum and how to safely work in different environments. In addition, learners will develop communication skills in a noisy industrial environment. A Counterbalanced Lift Truck F2 operator operates a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F2 that is designed and constructed for the purpose of raising or lowering to any position, store or retrieve a load up to a rated capacity of 7000 kg.

A qualified learner will be able to:

• Conduct Counterbalanced Lift Truck F2 pre-start and start up checks
• Move and position loads with a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F2 Refuel/energise, park and shut down a Counterbalanced Lift Truck F2
