The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a Checkout Operator.

A Checkout Operator records a customer’s ’ purchase and receives payment while minimising losses to the establishment.

A qualified learner will be able to:

• Implement start and end of day processes
• Interact with customers and other team members
• Record sales and process payment
• Cash up takings and control change
