The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as an Aids to Navigation (AtoN) Technician.
The AtoN Technician installs, commissions, maintains and repairs infrastructure and equipment.
A qualified learner will be able to:
- Install and commission AtoN equipment and infrastructure.
- Maintain and repair AtoN.
- Execute hazard identification and risk assessment duties and contingency plans.
